About 21CR Bots

21CR Bots is inspired by the 21st Century Robot movement. Our name comes from that movement.

According to the manifesto, a 21st century robot is imagined first, easy to build, completely open source, fiercely social, intentionally iterative, filled with humanity and dreams, and thinking for him/her/itself. We have imagined a world in which many robots are like this. Sometimes they get along, sometimes not. They live under varying levels of appreciation from humans and from each other. They face similar problems to those humans face as they try to find their own place in a world full of twists, turns and straight-aheads. The unexpected is lurking just a moment away, to be faced with a curious mix of logic and emotion. I'd like to say that the robots are always helpful, but the world they live in is based on our own. They learn from humans, like children learning from their parents. I also wish I could say that all parents are loving and kind.
